Our luncheon will be hosted by Molly Upstill, with Andrew O’Toole taking on the industry talk.
Joining us on stage as our guest speakers for the event is Top End senior jockey Alice Lindsay, and the founder of Racing Hearts, Lisa Coffey.

Clayton is a dual Group 1 and Everest winning trainer, with his horse Giga Kick one of the leading sprinters in Australian racing. Clayton is also an incredibly authentic young trainer with a true passion for thoroughbred racing, he is an absolute delight to be around, and we’re thrilled he’s joining us for this year’s event.

Michelle Payne is one of Australia’s most sought-after media and racing personalities who became a national icon when she captured the hearts of a nation after winning the 2015 Melbourne Cup on the 100 to 1 priced Prince of Penzance. The first and only female to win the event, Michelle’s triumph catapulted her into stardom where she is now a highly successful trainer, jockey and author.

Day One of the Darwin Cup Carnival has already been and gone, with another four weeks, and seven race meetings to go! What an exciting time of year for the Top End racing scene.
Our committee has been busily working away on our It’s Carnival Time Luncheon, and we can’t wait to bring you another amazing event. This year we have been so privileged to have some amazing sponsors on board including Jansz Tasmania, House of Pearls, BTC Construction, On Fire Racing, and De Silva Hebron.

Our It’s Carnival Time Luncheon is nearly sold out! If you are still thinking about picking up a ticket, make sure you get in quick, these last remaining few aren’t expected to last very long.
This year’s event is going to be held on Thursday 21 July at Wharf One, Darwin Waterfront, with festivities commencing from midday. Tickets include a three course alternate drop menu, and a four hour premium beverage package. You’ll be treated to a first-class local entertainment act as well as hear some great stories from people inside the industry.
One of the most exciting things about the lunch will be the major cash raffle, with a total pool of $6,000 available to take home. In addition, our generous sponsor Lucy from House of Pearls has donated two incredible Tahitian pearl pendant necklaces to give away, you won’t believe how stunning these are! This is on top of all our other amazing gifts and prizes donated by our lovely sponsors.
